Welcome to the Glass and Glazing Directory, this site has been developed to give visitors access to businesses that work primarily with glass, either as manufactures or those that repair automotive and window glass in New Zealand. Companies within this directory may also include: glass cutters, leadlight makers, glass blowers, automotive and windscreen replacement, glasshouse manufacture, insurance claims specialists, mirror and glass manufacture, shelving, shower doors and even cat doors and fish tank installation and construction. The directory will hopefully become very large as time and interest gathers. Below you will find links to NZ Associations that represent this trade sector.

The Glass Association of New Zealand+

GANZ

GANZ - the Glass Association of New Zealand was formed in July 1998. The Association is a result of an amalgamation between the Glass Industry Association, the New Zealand Safety Glass Association and Insulated Glass Units Manufactures Association.

GANZ is an unincorporated body which operates within the Window Association of NZ (WANZ). This keeps glass and joinery matters under the same umbrella.

Our Aims:

To involve the Glass Industry participants in discussion on industry issues that are important to them, maintain a strong membership, and focus on answers to the threats and issues that confront us.

As an industry we have two choices:

	Take control of our own industry and keep ourselves competitive and profitable.
	Sit back and let bureaucrats and others make decisions for us which will impact negatively on our businesses.

Membership:

We believe membership is valuable because GANZ intends to focus on key issues and ensure that progress is made in determining resolutions and circulating the information to members.

GANZ actively seeks to ensure Code Compliance and protect GANZ members against the actions of "cowboys".

Penalties under the Act for non-compliance through ignorance make subscriptions a cheap option.

Better supported Australian Associations could end up with the power to impose their rules on us to our detriment
